From 25th to 30th January 2025, Akita University鈥檚 delegation, led by聽Prof. Ritsuko Miyamoto, visited Kenya to strengthen academic ties. The team met with KU鈥檚 Acting Vice-Chancellor,聽Prof. Waceke Wanjohi, and聽Ms. Njeri Kagema, a KU alumna now an Assistant Professor at Akita University. The聽Department of Literature, Linguistics & Foreign Languages聽is expanding its聽Japanese language programme, equipping students with language skills that are highly valued in the global job market. Additionally, faculty exchanges will enable KU staff to collaborate and develop professionally in Japan.
