This is to notify all students that applications previously submitted for the May鈥揂ugust 2026 Teaching Practicum I (ECT 213) and Teaching Practicum II (ECT 301/341) have been nullified.
This decision follows adjustments to the University semester dates occasioned by the recent industrial action by members of staff, which significantly disrupted the academic calendar and altered the normal progression of teaching and learning. Consequently, the revised academic calendar can no longer support the practicum arrangements as initially scheduled.
Only Fourth Year students and students from previous cohorts who do not have any coursework or units scheduled in Semester/Term Two will be eligible to participate in the 2026 Teaching Practicum.
Updated application procedures and timelines for the eligible groups will be communicated in due course.
