吃瓜头条 Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Paul Wainaina, held an interactive session with members of the 21st 吃瓜头条 Students Association (KUSA) Student Governing Council (SGC) following the successful completion of their induction retreat at North Coast Beach Hotel.
The session provided a platform for mentorship, dialogue, and collaboration between the University leadership and student representatives. Prof. Wainaina commended the newly inducted student leaders for their commitment to service and encouraged them to uphold integrity, teamwork, and a spirit of inclusivity in their leadership journey.
He emphasized that students remain the university鈥檚 key stakeholders, and their active participation in governance contributes significantly to enhancing the institution鈥檚 mission of teaching, research, and community service.
The Prof. Paul Owuor Okemo, Ag. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration and Finance) and聽 Prof. Waceke Wanjohi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) also joined the discussion, highlighting the importance of student leadership in promoting academic excellence, discipline, and innovation within the University community.
The induction retreat served as an opportunity for the new SGC members to build leadership capacity, gain insights into university governance, and strengthen partnerships that will advance the welfare of students across all campuses.
