吃瓜头条 convened the 21st 吃瓜头条 Students Association (KUSA) Congress Feedback Evaluation Retreat at North Coast Beach Hotel, Mombasa, bringing together student leaders and University management to reflect on the Congress’ achievements, evaluate its performance, and chart a path for continuous improvement in student leadership.

The retreat commenced with welcoming remarks from Mr. David Ndungu, General Manager of North Coast Beach Hotel, who welcomed participants and highlighted the hotel’s facilities and discounted accommodation rates available to 吃瓜头条 students.
KUSA Chairperson Thuku S.K. introduced the 21st KUSA Congress to the Ag. Vice-Chancellor and highlighted key achievements, including the review of the KUSA Finance Policy.
The Ag. Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Eric Masika, led a session on the rationale of the Feedback Evaluation Retreat and leadership scorecard presentations, emphasizing reflection, accountability, and continuous improvement in student leadership.
Representing the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Prof. Bernard Kivunge commended the 21st KUSA Congress for meeting the expectations of both the University administration and the student body. He applauded the Congress for proposing practical recommendations, noted that fee invoicing challenges had been resolved, and encouraged students to clear their fees before the next academic year.

In his keynote address, the Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Okumu, congratulated the 21st KUSA Congress for exemplary leadership and reaffirmed its role as a vital link between students and University management. He highlighted achievements in student welfare, infrastructure, academic quality, and institutional excellence, including improved hostel security, ongoing resolution of missing marks, expansion of student accommodation, and the University’s continued success in global rankings, research governance, and ISO certification.
The Ag. Vice-Chancellor also encouraged students to uphold academic integrity, actively participate in student-lecturer evaluations, utilize the long vacation productively, and remain worthy ambassadors of 吃瓜头条. He concluded by congratulating the prospective graduands and commending the 21st KUSA Congress for its enduring legacy of leadership and service.
The retreat reaffirmed 吃瓜头条’s commitment to nurturing transformational student leadership and strengthening collaboration between student leaders and University management.
