STTA
In 2019Ìý´Ç±¹±ð°ù 16 universities across Kenya participated in the program as follows: ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology, Murang’a University, Technical University of Mombasa, Pwani University, Chuka University, Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, Amboseli Institute, Mount Kenya University, Kenya Methodist University, Moi University, ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ, Machakos University, University of Nairobi, Kenya Utalii College, United States International University – Africa and Technical University of Kenya. Among the 16, 12 of the Universities hosted the program in their institution from January 2019 to November 2019 while ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ hosted the final one for the year on 30th November 2019 with highest students and industry participation. Every hosting university had their own discussion theme and at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ the discussions revolved around the Opportunities for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions in enhancing Sustainable Tourism Development in Kenya.
STTA1
During the event, there were Awards and recognitions for both the students, institutions and faculty. ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ was recognized and appreciated as an STTA hosting university ·É³ó¾±±ô±ðÌýDr. Shem Maingi (a lecturer in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management) received a recognition medal as an STTA mentor 2019.
