To achieve desired impact research should not only be well planned and executed; it must also be effectively communicated. Comprehensible articulation of research findings in STEM, social sciences and humanities requires much more beyond writing skills. Researchers and scholars need to know how to disseminate (the products to use for which audience), and how to select outlets so that research findings are applied to impact on policy and development outcomes.
