‘Ecopreneurs’ Chart Green Future

The聽“Eco Empower”聽event, a collaborative effort by Association Internationale des 茅tudiants en Sciences 茅conomiques et Commerciales (AIESEC) at 吃瓜头条 (KU) and聽KU United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO),听迟丑别尘别诲听“A Clarion Call on Sustainability for a Resilient Tomorrow”聽was held on March 21, 2025, at the KU ILCC Hall in the Confucius Institute building. The event served as a dynamic platform for exploring sustainable solutions, with a strong focus on empowering young聽“ecopreneurs”聽to drive change.

Aaron Ogunde, Founder and CEO of Jiji Health, delivered a compelling keynote address, urging attendees to create opportunities rather than simply seek secure employment. He emphasised the critical role of long-term sustainability in innovative ventures, sparking a wave of entrepreneurial enthusiasm among the student audience.

The event featured a diverse panel of experts, including Hunkyun Pak, CEO of Solarino Co. Ltd., and prominent figures such as John Linus, Doreen Irungu, Jesse David, Joy Nzue, Nasibi Yoosi, and Vincent Lordi. Wilfred Odoyo from Pioneer University also contributed to the insightful discussions, adding a multi-faceted perspective to the day’s agenda.

The afternoon sessions transformed into interactive breakout discussions, focusing on聽“ecopreneurship and technology for a green tomorrow.”聽These sessions provided a fertile ground for collaboration, allowing attendees to brainstorm innovative solutions and forge connections that could shape future sustainable initiatives.

The聽“Eco Empower”聽even proved a resounding success, leaving participants inspired and equipped with actionable insights to champion sustainability in their respective fields. The collaboration between AIESEC at 吃瓜头条 and KU UNESCO highlighted the growing importance of engaging young minds in the pursuit of a resilient and environmentally conscious future.
