Introduction Computer science聽is the study of聽computation,聽information, and聽automation as applied in decision making and problem solving. This multi-disciplinary program covers areas ranging from including the design to the implementation of聽hardware聽and聽software. This program aims at equipping learners with up-to-date skills and knowledge that they can use to apply computer-based solutions to modern problems and to decision making.
Programme objectives The objectives of the program are to train professional who are able to:

  • Demonstrate in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of concepts and/or technologies in computer science discipline
  • Identify real-life problems and develop computing solutions to the problems.
  • Apply algorithms and mathematical reasoning to decision-making and to computational problems.
Justification / Rationale The increasing world reliance on sophisticated technology gives computer scientists a strategic role in our daily lives. By providing innovative solutions to our Computing needs and state of the art needs, the profession is fundamental to future development and growth of the society. The high demand from industries across the globe for well qualified Computer scientists continues with exciting and rewarding career graduates on areas ranging from Mobile and Wireless Technology, Multimedia Technology, Networks, Information Management, Artificial intelligent agents, Image Processing, and Information Security. Therefore there is a need for 吃瓜头条 to contribute towards driving Kenya into the next industrialization phase to achieve its strategic goals, i.e. vision 2030.
Entry Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Computer Engineering or any other related field with聽 at least Lower second class from a recognized university
