| Introduction | The field of information science addresses social, economic, and legal issues around information creation, organization, processing, and use. Graduates of this program are fundamentally prepared to contribute to decision-making processes, knowledge creation and the digital infrastructure of modern information society. The multidisciplinary Ph.D. is aimed at guiding students into exploring these issues through research, networks, collaboration and innovation. It trains researchers who are capable of forming sound opinions based on careful analysis, comparison, and synthesis of available information and are able to test such opinions by organizing and carrying out further systematic research. |
