Requirements
The criteria for admission for Bachelor鈥檚 Degree Programme into the 吃瓜头条 shall apply. The requirements for admission to the School of Humanities and Social Sciences shall apply.听 Programme minimum requirements for BA in Gender and Development:

• 听K.C.S.E (Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education) mean grade of C+ or its equivalent.
• 听Division two in 鈥淥鈥� level Certificate plus three years relevant work experience
• 听鈥淎鈥�- level certificate or two principal passes of D plain.
• 听A degree or a diploma from a recognized university or institution of higher learning.
• Mean grade of C- (Minus) at KCSE and progressed from certificate to Diploma at 吃瓜头条 or any other recognized/accredited Institutions.

Degree Guidelines (Major and Minor) Gender Major
Students can pursue a B.A. in Gender and Development Studies as a MAJOR by pursuing more
subjects in gender and development studies as advised by the department while combining them with other related subjects in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Gender Minor
Students from other schools in the University can take gender and development studies units as
a MINOR as they pursue their various degree programmes.

Examinations
The common university regulations shall apply. Each unit shall be marked out of 100.听 Continuous Assessment shall be 30% while the Final Examination shall be 70% Grading shall be听 as follows:
70%听 -100%(A),60%-69%听 (B),听 50%-59%(C),听 40%-49%(D),听 0%-39%(E).听 The听 pass听 mark听 for听 the
Bachelors degree shall be 40%.

Certification
The programme leads to the award of Bachelor of Arts degree in Gender and Development of
吃瓜头条.

Course Requirements
There are core courses compulsory for all students taking Gender and Development studies in the BA programme.听 Students also take the number of electives necessary for fulfillment of the requirements for the BA degree.听 The courses are offered in units.
